North in Norway

By Adam Gibson

Just below the Arctic,
I have circles under my eyes
and the sun here is a pale hint
which breaches like a whale
for a brief slow-motion arc
on the horizon,
disappearing quicker than it takes
for me to finish my tea
and to dash my vows
to make it out to see the day
for however long it lasts.

That is a really great photo Adam, fantastic colours and really adds something extra to the poem

...living under the Artic circle,
I never see it as a poem myself...
Maybe if I did,
my dark circles would slow motion and disappear into the horizon by themselves...

Much Luv,
